Deadline understands that the streamer is casting for Season 2 and, though there hasn’t been an official renewal announcement, we hear there’s talk of a two-season order. Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios Mike Hopkins seemed to confirm that Wednesday during a panel at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles.
“We’re going to do a couple more seasons of that, I think, soon,” he said of the series while describing the success the company has had so far dipping its toes into the creator economy.
MrBeast, otherwise known as Jimmy Donaldson, gave away $25 million in prize money on his Prime Video competition series, which debuted in December. He seemed eager to hand out even more cash during a recent conversation for Deadline’s Contenders TV, teasing that “another 10 seasons could happen.”
