– It is completely magical when the northern lights dance in the sky. It has to be refreshed every now and then, says Marius Stavenæs Refvik (31) from Refvik in Vestland county. For the last two evenings, he and many others have been able to enjoy the northern lights, which northerners usually enjoy seeing. Stavenæs Refvik is happy to take pictures and also secure a few snapshots of yesterday’s play of colors in the sky. Marius S. Refvik likes to take pictures outdoors and likes to take pictures of the northern lights and beautiful nature. Photo: Marius S. Refvik New possibilities Monday evening Tonight and tonight there will be new trips out to look for the northern lights, because there are many indications that it could be another beautiful evening. – There are good opportunities to see the northern lights, says state meteorologist Siri Wiberg. In large parts of the country, little cloud has been reported, which means that there are good conditions for seeing beautiful colors in the sky. This mainly applies from Helgeland and southwards to Trøndelag, Møre and Romsdal, as well as large parts of Austlandet. Parts of Vestland county also get little cloud, so there are opportunities here too. However, it is more uncertain in Agder and Rogaland. Wiberg also adds that Møre and Romsdal and Trøndelag may get some fog, and that could cause some trouble. Robin Olaisen took this photo in Sandvikhalsen in Bø in Vesterålen on the night of Sunday. Wiberg encourages people to bring the Monday evening color game with them. – It is magical. As a rule, this is a winter phenomenon and we don’t see it very often at this time of year. Here in the south it’s not that common either, so it’s a bit special that we see it as far south in the country as we do now, says Wiberg.
