Should SV say a hard no to the EU’s energy cooperation or put away any of the most confrontational policy? It has been the big theme at the party’s national meeting at the People’s House in Oslo this weekend. The voting comes later today. But on Saturday morning, Deputy Torgeir Knag Fylkesnes was able to present a proposal he hopes will gather the party. “We’ve got a big compromise on power,” he said. – The core is that a unified party wants to make power from being market -controlled to democratically governed. We initiate work related to this, with it as the goal, said Fylkesnes. He has led the work to unite the fronts of the party. “We also agree on state power companies and how it will work,” he said. – Will take the power of the stock exchange as is well known, the Center Party went out of the government earlier this winter due to disagreement with the Labor Party on the Power Policy. SV’s attitude to EU energy cooperation can therefore be crucial if there is a new red -green majority after the fall election. Storting representative and SV summit Ingrid Fiskaa has fought for a hard line. But she supports the compromise that has now been presented. – With this decision, SV clearly shows direction: Kraft should be a common good and not a market product, she tells news. The industry will be ensured new power agreements on similar conditions as today. Storting representative and incoming SV deputy leader Lars Haltbrekken also support the proposal. – We propose a radical change in power policy that will benefit consumers, who will ensure the industry and who take care of nature and climate through a continued focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy, he says to news. At the same time, there is still disagreement on the development of wind power on land and investigation that nuclear power in SV. A minority in the committee that has been working on the proposals wants the SV to go in to “investigate the possibility of nuclear power near power -intensive industry and business areas with green industry.” Disagreement about wind power on land is a regular at SV. There is still disagreement in the party whether the SV should say no to a clear no to “Further development of large -scale wine power on land” or have some opening for development in some cases to meet the industry’s power needs. No to EU bodies in the extensive proposal for power policy, it states that the SV will “take the power of stock exchange and investigate alternative models that replace today’s market-controlled power system with a democratically controlled system”. It is advocated that the opening of the EEA agreement should be “use to reclassify the necessary power consumption for an necessity property that is not subject to the market rules.” At the same time, the SV “will say no to the EU’s fourth energy market package and the Renewable Directive, and will report Norway out of the EU’s energy union and the energy agency ACER”. But SV will also “introduce the individual measures in the energy market package that promote climate and the environment without giving sovereignty”. – We say no to the EU’s energy union (ACER) and the fourth energy market package, no to new foreign cables and will renegotiate agreements on the cables of Germany and the United Kingdom to reduce the prizes, says Fiskaa. – This is how we want to ensure industry, other business and households access to affordable power, she says.
