Spring is not yet there, but already, Sanofi is embarking on a new major household in its mainstream medicines and health products. The pharmaceutical laboratory is preparing to relieve its factory installed in Amilly (Loiret) since 1961 and, with it, of three old brands of drugs made there: Aspégic, Kardégic, and Cardirene, the commercial name of Kardégic for Italy.

In 2024, union representatives were worried about the future of the Loirétaine factory, which they considered to be abandoned by the pharmaceutical industrialist. “Eight months ago, management began to say that it was going to look for solutions. At the start, the idea was to find internal growth relays, then we were told to produce for third parties, and ultimately a sale of the site to a third party ”explains Fabien Mallet, the CGT coordinator within the group.
