The defense leadership believes it is time for NATO allies to practice further east in Finnmark, closer to Russia, writes Klassekampen. Today there is a line between Alta and Lakselv, where the Norwegian authorities have decided that NATO cannot stay. The border was introduced in the 50s, during the Cold War, and the purpose was not to provoke the Soviet Union, the newspaper writes.
