Gro Harlem Brundtland (85) has been exempted from her duties in Oslo City Council for the remainder of the election period. This was decided by the city council’s business committee on Monday afternoon. The former Labor Party leader and Prime Minister has applied for an exemption for health reasons. Gro Harlem Brundtland was elected to the city council at the municipal elections last year and has sat on the health and social services committee. AP’s first deputy Mansoor Hussain moves up as a permanent representative in the city council.
