The management announces this in a press release. Overall, TV 2 has to manage with 120 fewer man-years, according to the channel. This includes permanent employees, temporary workers, freelancers and consultants. – We have to make do with fewer journalists in the News, and therefore must, among other things, reduce the use of resources on TV 2 Nyheter during the day. It is of course difficult for us, but we will do everything we can to ensure that we continue to deliver on our important news mission, says news editor Karianne Solbrække in the press release. Today, TV 2 also put forward offers for final packages. – We will have fewer employees and lose good colleagues. This is of course difficult for everyone at TV 2. Throughout the autumn, we have had a good dialogue with the union representatives. Now we hope that offers of good termination agreements will make the transition as gentle as possible for those who will no longer be involved, says organization and communications director Lene Eltvik Vindfeld.
