The 39 have been released as part of the exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel in connection with the interim ceasefire in Gaza. A total of 50 Israeli hostages are scheduled to be released from Gaza, while 150 imprisoned Palestinians are to be released. In addition, hundreds of trucks with emergency aid will be allowed to tow into Gaza.
