– The man who was stabbed in Storgata in Oslo on Saturday evening died from his injuries. We are investigating the case as murder, says head of crime at the Oslo police district, Håkon Johannessen, to news on the night of Sunday. The deceased is a foreign citizen in his 20s. The police were notified of the stabbing at around 6.40pm. The man’s condition was described as critical when he was taken to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries. Photo: Javad Parsa / NTB Searching for two people The police have seized a stabbing weapon which they believe can be linked to the incident. – There is nothing to indicate that there is any danger to the public, but that this is a discrepancy between people in a given environment, crime leader Thomas Pedersen Enger told news earlier on Saturday evening. So far, no one has been arrested for the incident. The police are aware that there was an incident with the victim and two people prior to the stabbing. – These are the people we are now looking for, says crime leader Håkon Johannessen. It is not known what was the background to the incident, or whether there is a relationship between the 20-year-old and the perpetrators. They have secured extensive video material from the area to be reviewed. – It is based on the obtained video material that we have faith that we will be able to identify the two perpetrators that we are looking for, says Johannessen. Which adds that they will continue to work through the night both with further technical and tactical investigative steps and other operational measures.
