A 17-year-old boy is charged with the murder of a 13-year-old girl in North Jutland on Monday evening. He is also accused of raping the girl, who was a minor. The boy denies guilt for murder, but admits guilt for violence resulting in death, his defender states. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to remand for four weeks. His defense attorney has not appealed the ruling. The police have seized an item they believe was used in the murder. The boy is said to have strangled the girl, before hitting her several times in the head with a brick. The investigation is not over. The 13-year-old was later released. – This is a deeply tragic incident in which a 13-year-old girl has lost her life. We are fully aware that the residents of Hjallerup have woken up to a very difficult and different Tuesday, says head of investigation Frank Olsen in North Jutland’s police in a press release on Tuesday. Boyfriend relationship Olsen states that the 17-year-old was the dead girl’s former boyfriend, but that this recently ended. The 13-year-old girl – who was arrested with him but later released – was a close friend of hers. The three teenagers had been to a youth club together and, according to the police, the atmosphere was good at first. – When they start to leave the youth club early in the evening, the friend loses contact with the deceased.
