6 July 2024 at 16:56 17 people rescued after boat ran aground A schooner ran aground on a reef near Hvaler, East police district reports. Both a rescue boat and a helicopter are on the scene, and 17 people have been evacuated. So far, no injuries have been reported. 18 passengers were initially reported, but in an update, operations manager Joakim Ormaasen writes that it is unclear how many were on the boat. At 17.43 the police state that all passengers have been accounted for and that the search has ended. – Those involved are further looked after by the emergency services. A person is taken to the emergency room for a check-up.
