A 14-year-old girl was going to a pajama party in Landskrona, southern Sweden, on Tuesday this week. Instead, the girl was found badly injured at a train station – and died a short time later from her injuries. Two minors were suspected of the murder on Thursday. One of these, a 15-year-old girl, was detained on Friday, reports SVT. In addition, Aftonbladet reports on Friday that a third person is suspected of the murder. Remanded in custody According to Aftonbladet, the 15-year-old is in custody for “murder jointly and by agreement with another on July 22-23.” The prosecutor believes there are special reasons why the 15-year-old suspect is detained even though she is a minor. That she will be able to remove evidence or in other ways make the investigation more difficult. Three suspects Altogether, according to SVT, three people are now suspected of involvement in the murder: the girl who is in custody, another girl who is suspected of murder and a third, who on Friday is suspected of gross protection of a criminal. All are under 16. The youngest suspect is under the criminal minimum age, which means she cannot be held criminally responsible. She is taken care of by child protection.
