On Thursday, almost a week ago, there was a major fire in a medical center in the district of Gulset, just outside the center of Skien. The fire could be seen over large parts of the city. Witnesses observed a fire in a bin on the outside of the building before the fire started on Thursday evening. After several suspicious fires in the city, Skien municipality issued a warning to its residents. Charged with serious damage A 13-year-old girl has now been charged with serious damage after the fire, the police report in a press release. The police have obtained a lot of information from mobile phones and from witnesses. – This allows us to link the 13-year-old girl to the gross damage that led to the fire, says police attorney Julie Marie Sandvik to news. The girl is also linked to vandalism in the district on 19 and 20 November. There is no reason to believe that these fires are related to other fires in the center of Skien recently, the police say. The accused 13-year-old is being followed up by child protection and other bodies.
