On 3 July, a multi-family house caught fire in Åbol in Sandefjord. 11-year-old Kajus Kurila died in the fire. She also says that the crime scene is heavily burnt down, and that this has contributed to the fact that the fire has been difficult to investigate. The police are now considering sending a proposal to the state attorney to drop the case. According to the police, two people were in the apartment with the 11-year-old when the fire started. One of them has a family relationship. Both have been questioned, but this summer the police had no suspicion that a criminal offense had taken place. The police have also spoken to witnesses who claim to have heard bangs ahead of the fire. The case is still considered an accident, according to Einhausen.
